Demonstrating Practical Water Saving at Iramoo Native Plant Nursery.

Iramoo Sustainable Community Centre uses large amounts of potable water in our indigenours nursery, which in turn produces water wise and biodiversity enriching plants for the outer West of Melbourne. Iramoo will install water tanks and rooftop harvesting to collect at least 50% of our nursery water use.

Iramoo nursery will reduce potable water by more than 70,000 litres per annum. Iramoo will better influence communities and students to practice sustainable water use, by making waterwise native plant production more sustainable, by enhancing community education using these facilities, and by reducing nursery nutrient runoff to urban streams.
