Native Plants

Seed collecting, growing & planting local wildflowers - suitable for waterwise gardens and revegetation.

Native Animals

Protection & habitat enhancement for the endangered Striped Legless Lizard, and for Blue Tongue Lizards, Skinks, Frogs and lots of Birds.

Water Wise Actions

Joining together spouting downpipes to create wetland habitat for Frogs, Birds and Insects; Mulching and Composting to reduce water loss; Water Tank Storage for summer and drought back-up; designed waste water treatment ponds.

Organic & Native Gardens

An indigenous back yard showing how native flowers, shrubs, trees and hedges can look in your garden; demonstration composting and organic vegetable plots; edible native plants.

History & Culture

Historical walks and talks based around rock walls, grazing, Nobel explosives factory; Hume and Hovel explorations; aboriginal culture and dreamtime history.

Education, Workshops & Training

Growing & using native plants; creating frogponds; working compost; organic vegie growing; school environment and indigenous culture programs.

Festivals & Events

Iramoo Fire & Wildflower Festival; Sustainable Living Festival West; Family Open Days.
